SMILE Partners with Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd.
We are proud to announce that SMILE (Society for Mental health Inclusivity, Literacy and Empowerment) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd. (GRSE Ltd.), a prestigious Government of India defence public sector company, to advance healthcare services for underprivileged communities. The MoU was signed in the presence of the GM (HR, Administration & CSR), Joint Managing Trustee of SMILE, and Deputy Manager (HR & CSR), marking a meaningful step towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure and expanding quality eye care services for underserved communities.
CSR Initiative in association with GRSE Ltd.
As part of its CSR initiative, Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd. (GRSE Ltd.), in association with SMILE, has undertaken the installation of CCTV surveillance systems within the jurisdiction of D.C. Port, Kolkata Police Area, strengthening public safety and security.
The MoU for this initiative was signed on 03-02-2026. National Youth Day Celebration
On 12th January, SMILE observed National Youth Day by organizing a free health check-up camp offering blood sugar, thyroid, uric acid tests, blood grouping, and complete blood count (CBC). This initiative was conducted as part of the CSR support of Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited (GRSE Ltd.), reaffirming the shared commitment towards youth health and community well-being.
